Theatre Showcase May 8th at 7pm
Tickets will be $5 at the door and $4 in advance during lunch sales in the cafeteria the week of the show. Theatre I will be presenting a one-act comedy entitled Wendy's Tale and Theatre II/III will be presenting a one-act comedy entitled A Most Curious Phenomenon, both by Alan Haehnel. The Technical Theatre class will be presenting a documentary on their plans and executions for Once Upon a Mattress and other class projects. This group was recently recognized by receiving a nomination by Capital Awards for OUTSTANDING STAGE CREW AND TECHNICAL EXECUTION. The evening will close with the traditional showcase dance. A fun evening - make plans to attend!


ITS Officer Elections, May 14th
Elections will be held for the 2008-2009 officers at the meeting on May 14th. Following elections at 4:00 we will be showing the DVD of the Musical .


Capital Awards, May 19th
Capital Awards will be presented at the Progress Energy Center on May 19th. Sanderson has received two nominations for OUTSTANDING STAGE CREW AND TECHNICAL EXECUTION and OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Mary Simmons. Josh Smith, Caroline Bowden, Patricia Catapano, and Mary Simmons will be representing Sanderson in the finale number at Capital Awards. Tickets can be purchased from Ms. Rogers (rogers1@wcpss.net). Tickets are $15 and must be ordered by May 9th.


Sandersony Awards, May 30th
Beginning at 6:30 with desserts in the gym lobby and the presentation of awards at 7pm in the auditorium. No admission is charged for this event. Selected students will present the awards for students in outstanding work in mainstage productions, festivals, ITS and classes. A very nice event. Semi-formal to formal attire. Come join the fun!
